I thought I'd put my kids to work today sharing their favorite books with you. Take a peek with what they came up with:
The Great Lollipop Caper: Mom's Pick (Recommended for all ages)
This one is MY pick. I love the illustrations, and the content is so clever. I love a good play on words, and this is an entire book about sweet, likable Lollipop and sour, grouchy old Caper. All three of my kids love reading this one.
Bread and Jam for Frances: Charlotte's pick (Recommended for ages 3-4)
A darling little book about Frances, who learns there's more to life (and dinner) than bread and jam. This is especially apt pick from the reigning pickiest eater at our house.
The Adventures of Captain Underpants: Hudson's pick (Recommended for ages 7-8)
Hudson's exploring the wide world of chapter books now. This is his latest favorite series. I have to say, it's actually pretty funny. There are just enough cartoons interspersed with the reading material to make it less monotonous for this age group.
Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? Nolan's Pick (Recommended for ages 1-6)
We're all big fans of Eric Carle at our house. But Nolan's especially smitten with animals lately. My reccomened age range for this book is a bit wider than the others, because Hudson actually studied this one in Kindergarten, and it was a smashing success.
What are you and your kids reading now?
