Birthday preparations are underway at our house. We're gearing up for a full weekend of celebrations. B turns 30 tomorrow. Tomorrow! I wish I were confident enough to make him this cake, but perhaps I should stick with the traditional chocolate cake and ice cream.
Any special birthday traditions at your house?

That is a cool cake! I probably wouldn't attempt it either, I always fall back on a simple boxed cake mix. My mom's tradition was to have the house decorated for us when we woke up on the morning of our birthday.
his birthday is tomorrow? so is mine! how funny! wish him a happy birthday for me!
Love the cake, I am sure you could pull it off!

I want to eat that cake (not make it!). Yum!
There's a reason why I use bakery cakes... not because I don't like baking, but because my cakes never turn out as pretty as this one...I just can't figure out frosting!
Our tradition is that you get a whole week to be the birthday "brat" and get your choice on just about everything... thankfully it's only for a week!
i really want that cake. happy birthday to your B.
Super cute cake! You can do it!
You inspired me to get it and try to make it for my husbands birthday in July.. he is an Oreo freak!
Love your blog!
Love this cake! Maybe make two...just in case. Wish your guy happy b-day for me!

that cake is so cute! who can resist a big, fat oreo cake?
happy birthday to your husband!
Oh wow that cake looks so yummy!Happy birthday to your hubby.
30? You mean 29...again. That's my plan for when I turn 30. Actually I'm turning 27 on Saturday (May birthdays rock! all the cool people were born in may!) and I don't know WHAT we're going to do! But I do know my mom is sending me flowers---she does every year, and it's so special! Once she sent them to my work and I was both embarrassed and pleased...
Oh, wow that is a very cool cake!! I am sure whatever you end up making will look and taste wonderful.
