See & Be Seen

The next few weeks are shaping up to be pretty wild. The moving boxes are piling up, as are the graduation festivities, farewell parties and the like. I've been dying for a summer makeover, but makeup has fallen to the bottom of my to-buy list. So I'm sure you can imagine my delight when my pals at Anastasia offered to let me try their new limited edition See and Be Seen Kit.

I love everything Anastasia...the tweezers and the Beauty Express Eyebrow kit are part of my daily routine. And this See and Be Seen kit is perfect for summer. The tinted brow gel is quick, easy and helps keep your brows in place all day long. The ILLUMIN8 eyeshadow duo (in On Set) is everything summer makeup should be--shimmery, bronzy, and effortless. The shadows are formulated to hydrate, and illuminate...and that's exactly what they do.

I was a bit nervous about the Hydraful Lip Glosses...these are much brighter than I usually go for, but they are SO MUCH FUN!  A little bit goes a long way, so these babies will last you all summer long. I should mention that these two shades (Heiress and Plastic, are their names) are only available in this set.

See and Be Seen is only available for a few more weeks, and it's flying off the shelves as we speak. So grab yours at Anastasia.net or at Sephora while supplies last.

And now for a giveaway:
I've got a Lash Genius Waterproof Topcoat for one of you! I love this stuff. It makes your favorite mascara instantly waterproof. And it keeps your lashes soft and shiny, while being completely waterproof. It's perfect for all those beach vacations and summer weddings (does anybody else cry like a baby at weddings?) coming up this summer.

Simply leave a comment below to enter. If you'd like an extra entry, post about the giveaway on twitter, facebook, or like Anastasia on facebook for another entry. Don't forget to leave a separate comment for each entry.

Ten Years

Ten years ago today I married my best friend. He's supported me through my greatest triumphs and my biggest heartbreaks. He can always make me smile. I don't know anybody who works harder than he does. His sense of humor is unparalleled. He's patient, charismatic, humble and by far, the smartest person I know. I could go on and on, but what I'm getting at here is that I am one lucky girl.

I can't believe all we've accomplished in the last ten years. Can't wait to see what happens in the next ten. Happy Anniversary, Sweetheart!

Over the Years

This year's silhouettes are done. I especially love the way Charlotte's turned out. She looks like a legitimate big kid this year. It's been so much fun to chronicle the evolution of her hair over the last three years. This is definitely a tradition worth keeping.

{Just in case you missed it, you can find the updated tutorial here.}

You can see the finished set below. I can't wait to see them hanging in our new home! Now I just have to decide if I should display them in the entry or the playroom. Oh, and then there's all that packing, and lifting and 20 hours of travel...but let's skip to the fun part and talk about decorating the house, OK?

P.S. Sorry for the inferior photo quality here...I was in a bit of a rush. But the canvases are wrapped and packed up, so we won't be seeing them again till we get to Wyoming. I'll snap a quick photo of them in action once the dust settles.
